After signing in at the park office at 9:00am – 09:30am, you will participate in a short brief orientation about the hike before departing. You will hike three to four hours to the first hut (Mandara) and arrive in the afternoon. You will have picnic or lunch box here and enjoy great view of the Moshi district below. After lunch you will go on a short walk to the Maundi crater and then begin your 2-3hours journey back to the Marangu gate, keeping an eye out for anything you might have missed on the way up.
